Trustwell Completes SOC 2 Compliance Assessment
Salem, Ore., September 12, 2023 – Trustwell Connect products, its Genesis and FoodLogiQ suites, once again met security and availability standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) with zero exceptions listed. Continuing its commitment to security and protecting sensitive customer data, Trustwell also passed the Service Organization Control Type 2 audit (SOC 2) in August 2023 and is proud to offer the most secure data environment for its customers, attesting to its alignment with globally accepted security best practices.
The audit was conducted by Johanson Group, LLP, an independently owned and operated compliance firm specializing in SOC 2 and HIPAA assessments. After a rigorous examination, independent auditors issued an unqualified opinion, confirming that Trustwell products have met the SOC 2 standards for Security and Availability Trust Services Principles with zero exceptions listed.
“At Trustwell, we understand the importance of taking data protection seriously. Our customers, many of which are globally renowned food and beverage brands, have entrusted us to protect their valuable data, and as security threats are on the rise, we have to sustain the highest of data security standards to establish and maintain a foundation of trust,” Doug Bell, Trustwell’s Chief Technology Officer said.
SOC 2 compliance is a component of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)’s Service Organization Control reporting platform. The goal is to ensure that systems are in place to assure the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data. SOC 2 is both a technical audit and requires companies to compose and follow comprehensive information security policies and procedures. The SOC 2 report examines and authenticates controls at a service organization, demonstrating a company’s ability to implement critical security policies and prove compliance over time.
